Graubünden as a research location
International research expertise
Graubünden has a strong and diverse research landscape. Renowned institutions such as the AO Foundation, SIAF, CK-CARE, SLF, PMOD/WRC, CERC, TMG and Mindfire make important contributions in medicine, allergology, artificial intelligence, and climate and environmental research. They are complemented by Science City Davos, which connects research institutions, universities, businesses and healthcare organisations and actively promotes knowledge and technology transfer.
Academia Raetica is a key pillar of Graubünden’s research landscape. As an association of research institutes, higher education institutions and clinics, it promotes collaboration between academia, business, policymakers and the public. Together with universities and other partners, it forms a strong network for interdisciplinary research, innovation and knowledge transfer.
Companies gain direct access to scientific expertise, modern research infrastructure and international collaborations. This enables new technologies, products and services to be jointly developed, tested and successfully translated into practical applications.
Research that delivers impact
